Hazardous & Noxious Substances Response Training e-Lab powered by Antipollution Emergency Response
In a world driven by commerce and industry, the sea remains a bustling highway for the transportation of goods and raw materials. Yet, amidst this maritime activity, there exists the potential for unforeseen environmental challenges, including the release of Hazardous & Noxious Substances (HNS) into our oceans. To address these challenges and enhance preparedness, Antipollution Emergency Response will be hosting the Hazardous & Noxious Substances Response Training e-Lab on November 1, 2023, in collaboration with Helmepa in the context of its Annual Training Program.
Antipollution’s Emergency Response Department has long been at the forefront of environmental stewardship and sustainability. With a relentless commitment to safeguarding our seas, they’ve pioneered mechanisms and innovative tools for addressing incidents of pollution stemming from Hazardous & Noxious Substances. Their dedication to these causes is unwavering, and their expertise in this field is unparalleled.
In collaboration with Helmepa, a respected organization dedicated to the protection of the marine environment, Antipollution will present its wealth of knowledge and expertise regarding the crucial procedures associated with responding to Hazardous & Noxious Substances incidents. This collaboration underscores the collective commitment to environmental preservation and the safety of our maritime activities.
Under HELMEPA’s 2023 annual training program, Antipollution will address the major topic of HNS response and management along with the current status of the HNS convention.
Antipollution’s certified personnel supported by its partner NGP Training Center will present all the main thematic topics included within IMO’s relevant model course.
The webinar will be honored by European Maritime Safety Agency with the presence of Mr. Frederic Hebert – Head of Unit 1.1-Sustainability – that will provide an overview of EMSA pollution preparedness and response toolbox, with focus on HNS.
During the e-Lab event, participants will have the unique opportunity to engage in discussions, presentations related to the development, processes, and methods for addressing pollution caused by Hazardous & Noxious Substances. This platform will serve as a hub for sharing insights and fostering innovation in the realm of environmental emergency response.
